Our first UK family holiday: a week of escapism at Findara

"It had been a long journey from Cornwall and as we arrived at dusk, we saw the welcoming lights. Engine off we witness the most incredible sunset and the peaceful tranquillity wrapped around us like a warm blanket. The sound of a distant owl enhancing the magical feeling that surrounded this special place. One step inside this cottage confirmed we had made the perfect choice for our stay in Northumberland.

Our stay at Findara was everything we hoped. The location is the most peaceful and picturesque setting. The stars at night were incredible and the sound of the owls hooting! The accommodation is finished to the highest standard and you feel at home the moment you walk through the front door. The warm welcoming feeling remains throughout your stay and after a day in the beach air you can collapse into the comfy sofas and enjoy the evening. There is nothing they do not have in terms of facilities with a fully stocked kitchen of utensils you could make a full Sunday roast with, down to the coffee machine, wine cooler and egg cups for your morning dippy eggs! The bedrooms, the two doubles with large en-suites are super comfy and are filled with beautiful furnishings. The double shower in one, a great novelty and definitely worth a try!

We had so many unforgettable meals but our favourite was The Potted Lobster in Bamburgh for top-notch seafood in a warm and friendly atmosphere. I'd like to go six times to sample the entire menu. 

The attention to detail here is phenomenal, thought has clearly gone into every aspect of the space. There is even sun hat, and umbrella and fully stocked picnic basket! Amazing Stay!"
